Experience

Background: I started off working in private practice and then moved to a charitable oganisation where i spent most of my early career, preparing and presenting asylum and human rights appeals at the Immigration and Asylum Chamber.
I am accredited as a Supervisor and Level 2 Senior Caseworker under the Law Society’s Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme, which means I have demonstrated the required level of competence and knowledge in immigration and asylum law.
Over the years I have dealt with a wide range of immigration cases, from EEA applications and appeals, nationality law and applications for entry clearance and in country, both within the immigration rules and based on human rights. I also have experience of advocacy, bail and detention work, having worked with firms running Detained Asylum Casework contracts.
Immigration work at this level involves a great deal of independent work and, requires initiative, self-motivation and a wide range of skills.
I also have several years of experience supervising and training teams of immigration caseworkers
Expertise: I have been working in this field since 1997 and have a wealth of experience to offer both in terms of asylum and detained work as well as immigration applications and detention and appeal cases. I am passionate about helping others with their immigration issues and have an excellent success rate.
